This page will be devoted to my "Deep Play Group". Deep Play is set up for a small group of MSUrbanSTEM teaching fellows to dig deeper into experimenting with a teaching method that we've always wanted to try in our classrooms. The video below sumps up my group's main Deep Play topic, Multimodal Composition, our overall goal, my personal goals for my classroom with trying out multimodal composition, and some new exciting things we've learned so far about multimodal composition. Check out my "Tinker Tale: Take 1 Video below:
In the video, by using the phrase "students expressing themselves", I am referring to how my students will be able to communicate their understanding of STEM content using multimodal composition when it comes to annotating texts, brainstorming and writing science explanations, and synthesizing unit concepts and enduring understandings beyond unit exams through free apps such as those mentioned in the video, as well as other technologies my Deep Play Group discovers together this year.
